The Indian batsman had, earlier this year, led the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to the IPL 2024 title. Shreyas Iyer and Sunil Narine have played for two years together at KKR. Earlier, Ishan Kishan too bowled in the tournament.
Shreyas Iyer took a leaf out of his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Sunil Narine's book and imitated his action as he tried his hand at bowling in the TNCA XI vs Mumbai match in the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament on August 27. On Day 1 of this match, the Indian batsman came to bowl in the 89th over and it was pretty interesting to see that he emulated Narine's action completely. Right from hiding the ball behind and delivering it, Iyer seemed to have nailed the bowling action of the KKR mystery spinner and gave away seven runs off only the only over he bowled.
