Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has announced his retirement from Tests and while speaking to the reporters ahead of IND vs BAN 2nd Test 2024 stated that the match will be his last. However, he wills play his last Test match in Mirpur in December this year against South Africa if he is given a chance. However, the official confirmation of the tour is yet to be done. Shakib also stated that he has played his final T20I match in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Shakib has played 70 Test matches for Bangladesh and has scored 4600 runs at an average of 38.33.
