Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has been slammed by a Manchester based pro Israel foundation after his pictures with the members of the foundation went viral claiming that he has offered them support. Afridi later gave a clarification and refused from giving any type of support.
Photos of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi with the members of a pro-Israel group North West Friends of Israel went viral on social media. The group claimed that Afridi offered them endorsement and supported their cause of releasing the hostages at their NWFOI vigil in Manchester. However, soon after the photos went viral, Afridi came up with a response and dismissed all the claims and mentioned that he stands with Palestine. However, the pro-Israel group didn't take much time to respond and slammed Afridi for spreading fake news.
