Sachin Tendulkar Shares Memory of Making ODI Debut on Father’s Birthday, Writes, ‘He Was Always and Continues To Be My Guiding Force’
The former Indian great later went on to score a total of 18,426 runs in the format which included a whopping 49 centuries. Tendulkar notably, is the only cricketer with 100 international hundreds.
Sachin Tendulkar had made his ODI debut on December 15, 1989 and he revealed that it was his father's birthday. Taking to Twitter, he shared a post and wrote, "Couldn’t have been a better day to have made my ODI debut, because coincidentally it also happened to be my Father’s birthday."
