He wrote “It has been 25 years since Baba left us, but standing by his old chair today, it feels like he is still here. I was only 26 at the time, and now, at 51, I see even more clearly how much he impacted my life and the lives of many others. Visiting this place after 43 years on his 25th death anniversary was incredibly emotional.” Sachin Tendulkar’s father Ramesh Tendulkar passed away on 19th May 1999 after a massive heart attack. He was 68 at the time. No Indian cricket fan can forget the 1999 World Cup when Sachin Tendulkar returned to India to attend his father’s funeral and went back to represent his country on the grand stage.
