The India National Cricket Team won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 held in the USA and the West Indies back on June 29 and the celebrations are still continuing. BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) secretory Jay Shah also congratulated the team pointing out the past close victories and even the performances in the T20 World Cup championship run. During the message, he added that India will look to build on their recent form and also win the WTC (World Test Championship) and ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. WTC will be played in June 2025 with the Champions Trophy, a 50-over format ICC tournament that will start on February 19. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have confirmed their retirement from the T20 format of the game.
