Ravindra Jadeja Dismissed for 'Obstructing the Field' After Sanju Samson's Throw Hits Him During CSK vs RR IPL 2024 Match (Watch Video)
The CSK all-rounder became just the third cricketer in IPL history to have been dismissed 'obstructing the field' in the second innings of the CSK vs RR match. Ravindra Jadeja departed for five runs off seven deliveries.
Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged to have been 'obstructing the field' during the Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals match in IPL 2024 on Sunday, May 12. This happened in the 16th over of the innings when Jadeja dabbed a ball from Avesh Khan towards third man. He completed a single and wanted a second run, which was turned down by Ruturaj Gaikwad at the other end. Sanju Samson got the throw from the deep and attempted to throw at the non-striker's end, but the ball hit Jadeja. Samson appealed, and the third umpire found Jadeja to have changed direction after seeing the ball being thrown by Samson and ended up coming in the way of the throw. The CSK all-rounder was unhappy as the big screen flashed 'OUT' as he walked off.
