Ravi Ashwin Becomes First Indian Bowler to Take Wicket of Father and Son in Tests, Achieves Feat After Dismissing Tagenarine Chanderpaul in IND vs WI 1st Test 2023

Left out of India's playing XI in the World Test Championship final, Ravichandran Ashwin has made an instant impact on the game, dismissing young Tagenarine Chanderpaul as his first wicket of the match. Ashwin had earlier dismissed Tagenarine's father Shivnarine in the longest format of the game.

Ravichandran Ashwin became the first Indian bowler to achieve a rare feat after he dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul on Day 1 of the first Test against West Indies. Ashwin bowled a tossed up delivery which beat Tagenarine and hit his stumps, and with this dismissal, he came the first from India to dismiss both father and son in Test matches. Ashwin has had the better of Tagenarine's father Shivnarine in the past.
