Rashid Khan threw his bat in anger after he was refused a single by Karim Janat during the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match on Tuesday, June 25. This incident occurred in the last over of the first innings when Rashid had scooped the ball high in the air after he attempted a 'helicopter' shot off the bowling of Tanzim Sakib. Rashid charged down the non-striker's end to complete a run and was very keen on taking a double. However, Karim Janat turned down the run and gestured with his hand for him to stop. The Afghanistan captain was furious and after having ran almost midway, he threw his bat on the ground.
