Rahmanullah Gurbaz broke down in tears after Afghanistan entered the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals with a win over Bangladesh. The Afghanistan bowlers did a splendid job as they defended a low score and beat Bangladesh to enter the semifinals for the first time in the history of T20 World Cups. Gurbaz, who had to leave the field early on in the second innings after sustaining a blow to his knee, broke down in the dressing room after his team made it through to the last four. Several other players also got emotional after the win. The wicketkeeper-batsman earlier scored 43 runs and was also involved in a 59-run opening partnership with Ibrahim Zadran. Gurbaz is also the highest run-scorer of the T20 World Cup 2024, hitting 281 runs so far.  ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Afghanistan Qualify for Semifinals After Beating Bangladesh by Eight Runs in Rain-Hit Super 8 Game.
