The Australia vs Afghanistan Super 8 match in ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, June 23, saw Pat Cummins etch his name in history, as he bagged a second consecutive hat-trick. The Australian pacer got the better of Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan with what was the last ball of the 18th over. Cummins was entrusted with bowling the 20th over of the first innings and he dismissed Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib with the first two deliveries. Unlike last time, Cummins was aware of this achievement this time around. The 31-year-old earlier had taken a hat-trick against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match, becoming only the second Australian bowler to achieve the feat. Pat Cummins Becomes First Bowler To Take Back-to-Back Hat-Tricks in T20Is, Achieves Feat During AFG vs AUS ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 Match.
