Pat Cummins became the first-ever bowler in T20I history to take back-to-back hat-tricks, with the Australian pacer achieving this feat during the AFG vs AUS ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight match on Sunday, June 23. The right-arm pacer has really evolved his T20 game and he dismissed Rashid Khan with the last ball of the 18th over and then returned to bowl the 20th over, where he accounted for Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib off the first two balls. The Australian also joined the likes of Lasith Malinga, Tim Southee and Waseem Abbas as the bowlers to have taken two hat-tricks in T20Is.  This was also the first time that a bowler has taken consecutive hat-tricks in T20 World Cup history.
