A controversial situation unfolded at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 18 as Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis was adjudged run out controversially against Chennai Super Kings. Batter on strike, Rajat Patidar struck a ball from Mitchell Santner down the ground. Mitchell Santner, who was bowling reached for it and the ball brushed his fingers before going on to hit the stumps. Third umpire checked the replays and it felt non-striker Faf du Plessis' bat was in the air when the ball struck the stumps and adjudged him out. Fans clearly didn't agree to the decision and took to X to share their thoughts on it. Although some fans countered it as they thought it was a good decision. 'Unfortunate But Good Decision'
#RCBvsCSK. A very good decision by 3rd umpire. Faf bat is not touching the ground. Run out. Most unfortunate for Faf.
