Nicholas Pooran and Mohammad Rizwan have withdrawn from the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023-24 season draft which is slated to be held on September 3. Both the gun wicket-keeper batters were set to the platinum picks in the draft but it was not meant to be. West Indies will be playing England in December and thus, Pooran is likely to be unavailable for the first half of BBL. Hence, he is known to have withdrawn from the marquee tournament due to this reason. Likewise, Rizwan will be indulged in a Test series against Australia and thus, wouldn't have been available for the majority of the upcoming BBL season.
