Netherlands' pacer Paul van Meekeren folded his hands and 'thanked' Daryl Mitchell after the latter came up with a powerful strike that missed the bowler and crashed into the stumps at the non-striker's end. This incident happened in the 39th over of the first innings when Mitchell used all his might to clobber a van Meekeren delivery straight down the ground. The ball was hit very hard and it ended up sending a stump at the non-striker's end for a cartwheel. Van Meekeren, who escaped being hit by the ball, was then seen folding his hands and 'thanking' Mitchell for not hitting him.
