Multan Sultan Becomes First T20 Franchise in Pakistan Super League to Appoint Female General Manager, Names Journalist Hijab Zahid As GM

Multan Sultan has also undergone a ownership change this year. Following the demise of owner Alamgir Tareen, his nephew and co-owner of Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen has taken over proceedings.

Multan Sultans, who have reached the final of the last three PSL editions and also clinched the title in 2021 curves their name beside another historical feat as they become the first T20 franchise in Pakistan and one of the first in the World to appoint a female General manager.  They appointed journalist Hijab Zahid, who presently works at Grassroots Cricket as the general manager, replacing the departing Haider Azhar. The owner has also promised to sign three female coaches for the upcoming season.
