Marais Erasmus Named ICC Umpire of the Year 2021
Erasmus has been one of the best umpires in international cricket and he recently officiated in his 100th ODI during the series between India and South Africa. He was the umpire during the T20 World Cup 2021 final between Australia and New Zealand. He is also a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
South African umpire Marais Erasmus won the ICC Umpire of the Year 2021 award at the annual awards by the cricket governing body. ICC took to social media to name Erasmus of the coveted award. He had also won the Dave Shepherd Trophies in 2016 and 2017.
