Rohit Sharma came up with an unique reaction when he was asked a strange question about whether England and New Zealand should have been declared joint winners of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, during the Captains' Day event ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. That match had stirred a lot of controversy with the boundary-count rule deciding the winner of the prestigious trophy after both teams had a tied super over. The journalist asked Rohit's opinion on how the contest should have ended and which side should have been declared the winner and the Indian captain, not very pleased, reacted and said, "Kya yaar..mera kaam nahi hai ye (this is not my work to declare who is winner)."
