New Zealand continue their winning streak in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they beat Bangladesh by 8-wickets and registered their third consecutive victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Opting to bowl first, New Zealand attacked the Bangladesh top order with their seamers triggering a mini-collapse. Bangladesh recovered well through Shakib-al-Hasan (40) and Mushfiqur Rahman (66) but collapsed again after Shakib got out, finishing at the modest total of 245. Lockie Ferguson (3/49) shined with the ball for New Zealand taking the important wickets of Tanzid Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib-al-Hasan. Chasing the total, New Zealand started slow but Kane Williamson (78) provided solidity to the innings and Daryl Mitchell (89*) accelerated later taking New Zealand over the finishing line.
