An amusing incident took place on the field on Day 3 of the IND vs BAN 1st Test 2024 when Jasprit Bumrah asked Mohammed Siraj to wear his spectacles after the latter pulled off a great save despite picking the ball late. This incident happened in the 19th over when Bangladesh national cricket team captain Najmul Hossain Shanto pulled a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah and it seemed to be headed quickly towards the fence. Siraj, who was fielding at backward square leg, did not spot the ball initially but managed to dive and stop the boundary. While the effort was applauded by the Indian national cricket team members, Jasprit Bumrah gestured for Mohammed Siraj to wear his sunglasses with the latter signalling that he did not see the ball.
