As Kolkata witnessed some rainfall after a spell of intense heatwave, KKR's flight from Lucknow to the city had to be diverted to Guwahati due to poor weather. The Kolkata Knight Riders squad had registered a big 98-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants in their last match and was slated to arrive in the City of Joy on May 6. However, as the rains stopped, the flight set off from Guwahati to Kolkata.
