India lost six wickets for no run on the board as they were bowled out for 153 runs on Day 1 of the IND vs SA 2nd Test 2023-24, Wednesday, January 3. The visitors were batting on 153/4 at the start of the 34th over when Lungi Ngidi came on to bowl and picked up three wickets. Ngidi dismissed KL Rahul (8), Ravindra Jadeja (0) and Jasprit Bumrah (0) in what was a triple-wicket maiden. Next up, it was Kagiso Rabada, who dismissed Virat Kohli before Mohammed Siraj was run out. Rabada, who struck first in the innings, went on to dismiss Prasidh Krishna. India had earlier bowled out South Africa for just 55. For India, Virat Kohli top-scored with 46 runs.
