The Men in Blue warmed up for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in some style with a comprehensive performance against Bangladesh. India start their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Ireland on June 5 while Bangladesh have Sri Lanka as their first opponents of T20 World Cup 2024 on June 8.
India pulled off a comprehensive performance to defeat Bangladesh by 60 runs in a warm-up match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Batting first, a half-century from Rishabh Pant (53) and quickfire knocks from Suryakumar Yadav (31) and Hardik Pandya (40*) helped India post 182/5. In response, Bangladesh hardly posed any challenge with the bat as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Arshdeep Singh struck early to remove Soumya Sarkar and Litton Das and their innings never really gained any momentum. Mahmudullah top-scored for Bangladesh with 40 runs off 28 balls, while Shakib Al Hasan struck 28. For India, Shivam Dube was the best bowler with figures of 2/11 in three overs.
