The Indian team won their second title in the major T20 tournament. The 'Men in Blue' last won the title in the year 2007, which was the inaugural edition of the competition. The Indian team was able to put up a score of 176/6 while batting first with the help of Virat Kohli's 76 runs from 59 balls. Defending the target, the Rohit Sharma-led side restricted South Africa for 169/8 and won the match by seven runs.
