Conway added to his growing reputation as an important player in this New Zealand team by hitting his second fifty in just his third Test, in addition to a double hundred on debut. Interestingly, all of these have come away from home as he put New Zealand in a strong position in their ongoing World Test Championship final against India.
The left-handed opener put New Zealand on top with a third consecutive 50+ score in as many games. Earlier, he had become the sixth batsman to score a double hundred on Test debut with a magnificent 200 against England.
