Pakistan team had a poor outing at the Asia Cup 2023 despite being termed as the favourites initially. They suffered a massive defeat to India in the Super Four match and then suffered another defeat to Sri Lanka to end their campaign at the bottom of the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four table. After the loss against Sri Lanka, reports of rift in the Pakistan dressing room emerged as captain Babar Azam had reportedly a fallout with the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan.
