Born on October 8, 1983, in Secunderabad, Abhishek Nayar made his international debut in the year 2009 against West Indies in an ODI. With a lot of experience in domestic cricket, Abhishek Nayar made a name for himself in coaching, one of the highlights of which is his role for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where he nurtured several young talents. After winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 title with KKR, Abhishek Nayar left the franchise to join the India national cricket team as an assistant coach under head coach Gautam Gambhir.
