The Afghanistan vs New Zealand One-Off Test 2024 which was set to be hosted the Greater Noida Sports Complex Stadium in Greater Noid, UP has faced a standstill, as the Test match is yet to commence due to wet outfield. Shockingly, after the ground received a heavy beating due to rain on the previous day of the start of the Test match, Day 1 of the Test match was a clear day with sun out. Yet the wet patches couldn't be dried. The conditions didn't look better on Day 2 as the ground received rain again on the previous night and at one point, the groundstaff were spotted digging up patches of wet grass to replace with dry grass from the practice facilities to improve an area near the mid-wicket region. Groundstaff Dig Up Wet Patches From Greater Noida Sports Complex Stadium
Not a good morning from Greater Noida! They have dug a part of the midwicket area and are trying to fix it with some dry patches of grass and soil. Something new I have seen in cricket.#AFGvNZ pic.twitter.com/46ZwYZoqmQ
