Gautam Gambhir took to social media to share his reaction after being appointed the new head coach of the Indian men's cricket team. Gambhir reportedly was the frontrunner to succeed Rahul Dravid for the role and the same was confirmed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah via social media. Gambhir shared a picture of the Indian national flag and wrote a note, a part of which read, "I'm honoured to be back, albeit wearing a different hat. But my goal is the same as it has always been, to make every Indian proud."
