DJ Gokulakrishnan, a former player for Tamil Nadu, coach, and match referee for the BCCI, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 50. Between 1993 and 2004, the former bowling all-rounder represented Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Goa in 39 first-class and 45 list-A matches. In 39 First-Class cricket matches, he amassed 1116 runs and claimed 103 wickets. Other than this, in 45 List A matches, DJ Gokulakrishnan amassed 552 runs and claimed 71 wickets. DJ Gokulakrishnan worked as an assistant coach in the Tamil Nadu team from 2008 to 2013. He also collaborated with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
