Former IPL Star Paul Valthaty Named Head Coach of Seattle Thunderbolts in Minor League Cricket

The 40-year-old had made a name for himself in the IPL for his heroics for Punjab Kings, then known as Kings XI Punjab. Paul Valthaty had scored 463 runs in 14 matches for the side in the 2011 IPL.

Former Indian Premier League (IPL) star Paul Valthaty has been named head coach of Seattle Thunderbolts, a franchise competing in USA's Minor League Cricket. Valthaty had become a sensation in the IPL when he scored an undefeated 120 off 63 balls for Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) against Chennai Super Kings in 2011. It was the highest score by an uncapped Indian batter in the IPL before it was surpassed by Yashasvi Jaiswal in 2023.
