The visiting team will continue to be led by Ollie Pope, who had stepped in Ben Stokes' absence during England's Test win over Sri Lanka some time ago. England announced their playing XI for the PAK vs ENG Test series opener in Multan and shared that Ben Stokes will continue to recover from his hamstring injury that kept him out of the Sri Lanka Tests. Jack Leach has meanwhile made a return to the England cricket team playing XI for the first time since the tour of India earlier this year.
