England have kept their hopes of making it to the Super Eight stage of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a 41-run win over England via DLS method in a rain-shortened contest in Antigua. The match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound had to be shortened to 11 overs per side and later 10 overs due to heavy rainfall. England batted first and scored 122/5 in 10 overs with Harry Brook smashing 47 runs off only 20 balls, with four fours and two sixes. Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone also scored 16 and 13 runs respectively. The DLS revised target was 126 and England restricted Namibia to 84/3 in 10 overs, with Michael van Lingen top-scoring with 33 runs. David Wiese scored 27 runs off 12 balls. England moved to the second spot in Group B with this win and would need Australia to beat Scotland to qualify for the Super Eight stage.
