A bizarre incident happened during RCB-W and MI-W WPL 2023 match. Nat Sciver-Brunt was bowling in the 8th over to Richa Ghosh. She bowled a short delivery which Richa tried to hook but got late on it and it seemed that she edged it to the keeper. Yastika Bhatia, Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper, was confident and she pushed Harmanpreet Kaur to take a review. During the slow-motion replay, it seemed like the ball took a deflection of Richa's bat but the ultraedge showed no spike, Mumbai Indians players were shocked along with the fans and Richa, who was almost halfway back to the dugout had to return. Fans took to twitter immediately and expressed their doubts on the decision.
DRS Failure!
From the naked eye, felt like there was an edge. Even Richa Ghosh’s reaction felt like she edged it. Weird UltraEdge didn’t pick it up. Lucky reprieve for Richa and RCB. #MIvRCB #WPL2023

UltraEdge Shows No Bat Involved
Unreal scenes, Reply showed Richa Ghosh got a deflection but Ultra Edge showed no bat involved, Harmanpreet Kaur can't believe what just happened #TATAWPL #WPL #RCBvsMI #MIvsRCB pic.twitter.com/aC1Ziw9dNU

Clear Deflection But UltraEdge Shows No Spike
Clear deflection but no spike. Was UltraEdge not working? 🤔#WPL #MIvRCB

How It Was Not Out?
Wow!!! Richa Ghosh (not her fault btw) has absolutely taken the cover off one to the keeper. How it was given not out was weird enough, but ultra edge not showing a spike was bizarre!! Clear deflection… Ghosh was walking!!! Now Perry is run-out and RCB in some bother! #TATAWPL
