The Pakistan National Cricket Team fared poorly in the ICC T20 World Cup tournament so far, but the side was slammed for their fitness level well before the World Cup started. The side’s performances since the 2023 ODI World Cup have not been very encouraging and they were forced to take the fitness drills with the Pakistan Army to prepare for the mega T20 competition. In these events, discarded batsman Umar Akmal shared a post on social media showcasing his fitness. He captioned the ‘fiery’ post “Attention please This is for those who think I am not fit”. Umar Akmal has been out of the Pakistan National Cricket team since 2019 having played in a t20I match against Sri Lanka in Lahore in October 2019. as for the Pakistan team, the side will take on Canada in a 'must win' group match in ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
