Indian squash star and Dinesh Karthik's wife, Dipika Pallikal, got emotional while talking about him as the wicketkeeper-batter retired from the IPL. Karthik, before the season, had stated that it would be his last and he got an emotional guard of honour after Royal Challengers Bengaluru crashed out of IPL 2024 with a loss to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator. Pallikal, in a tribute video, shared by RCB, got emotional as she said that it wasn't going to be easy to move away from the game which Karthik has played all his life. "He's done well for himself, his family and just has to be proud of it." Pallikal also said that Karthik has a never-give-up attitude that has helped him overcome a lot of hardships.
