Warner, in a long post on Instagram, wrote a long note, a part of which read, "Chapter closed!! It’s been an unbelievable experience to play at the highest level for such a long period," but kept his doors open to making a return for the Champions Trophy 2025, which is slated to be held in Pakistan. I will continue to play franchise cricket for a while, and I am also open to playing for Aus in the Champions trophy if selected," he wrote.
