New Zealand batsman Colin Munro has announced his retirement from international cricket after missing out on being selected for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The left-hander had last played for New Zealand in a T20I against India which was way back in 2020. Munro featured in a total of 57 ODIs, 65 T20Is and one Test match for New Zealand in his international career. The left-hander, who has played franchise T20 cricket all over, was quoted as per an official statement saying, "Although it has been a while since my last appearance, I never gave up hope that I might be able to return off the back of my franchise T20 form. With the announcement of the BLACKCAPS squad for the T20 World Cup now is the perfect time to close that chapter officially."
