After consecutive failures from Matthew Mott in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, ECB has parted ways with him and instead appointed Test team coach Brendon McCullum as the new all-format coach of England. McCullum, who has been at the helm since May 2022, has extended his contract until the end of 2027. He will assume leadership of both the Test and white-ball teams starting January 2025, coinciding with England’s white-ball tour of India and the ICC Champions Trophy. England Captain Jos Buttler Ruled Out of Lancashire T20 Blast 2024 Quarterfinal Against Sussex, Australia Series Participation in Doubt Due to Calf Injury.
