Brandon McMullen made history by smashing the fastest fifty by a Scottish player in T20 World Cups, during the Australia vs Scotland match in ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match on June 16. The right-hander was in some mood for big-hitting as he smashed the ball effortlessly, scoring his half-century off only 26 deliveries. McMullen smashed a total of two fours and six sixes as he found the boundary on both sides of the wicket. The right-hander eventually finished with 60 runs off just 34 balls and was dismissed by Adam Zampa in an attempt to hit a big shot.
