The left-hander submitted his letter of resignation to the Sri Lankan board in what was seen as a shocking development in the island's cricket. He has played five ODIs and 18 T20Is for Sri Lanka and also was part of the nation's T20 World Cup 2021 squad.
Sri Lankan left-hander Bhanuka Rajapaksa has announced his retirement from international cricket. In a statement shared by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board, it was announced that the 30-year old made this decision owing to family obligations.
