The statement from the cricket board states that interested candidates for the role will have to apply by 6 pm IST (Indian Standard Time) on May 27, a day after the IPL 2024 final in Chennai. BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated that current head coach Rahul Dravid, whose contract runs out after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, can reapply if he wishes to.
