Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 68 runs to win the 2nd ODI 2024 on Saturday, November 9. Batting first, the Bangladesh national cricket team posted 252/7, largely due to captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, who scored 76 runs off 119 balls with six fours and one six to his name. Bangladesh's innings got some late impetus from Jaker Ali, who struck 37 runs off 27 deliveries. For Afghanistan, Nangeyalia Kharote took three wickets while Allah Ghazanfar and Rashid Khan scalped two each. In response, the Afghanistan national cricket team was bowled out for 184 runs in 43.3 overs. Nasum Ahmed was Bangladesh's best bowler, taking 3/28 while Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2/37), Mustafizur Rahman (2/37), Shoriful Islam (1/45) and Taskin Ahmed (1/29) were also amongst the wickets.
