Axar Patel will not be available for selection for India in the 3rd and final ODI against Australia, dealing another blow to his chances of recuperating in time for the future ICC World Cup in 2023. Since sustaining a thigh injury during the Super 4 match against Bangladesh for Asia Cup 2023 earlier this month, the all-rounder has been sidelined. According to the report, Axar Patel has not fully recovered to be named to the team for the last ODI. He is presently receiving treatment at Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy (NCA). He is however expected to be fit before the warm-up games of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
