Australia announced their 15-member squad for the ICC World Cup 2023, scheduled to be held in India from October 5. Pat Cummins, who is recovering from an injury, will lead the side which also comprises Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell, both of whom are also recovering from their respective injuries. The five-time champions had earlier picked an 18-member preliminary squad out of which three players-- Ellis, Aaron Hardie and Tanveer Sangha have missed out in this 15-man team. Also, Marnus Labuschagne, who had not made it to the preliminary squad, didn't find a place in the squad. Cummins along with Starc and Josh Hazlewood will form the pace attack with Sean Abbott as the backup fast bowler.
