Andre Russell achieved a significant milestone in his T20I career as he took his 50th wicket during the West Indies national cricket team vs Papua New Guinea national cricket team match in ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on June 2. Russell got to the mark by dismissing Charles Amini, with the PNG batter edging one to wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran. The right-arm fast bowler later took one more wicket to finish with figures of 2/19 in three overs.
