Amol Muzumdar Named As Head Coach of Indian Women’s Cricket Team
Muzumdar scored over 11,000 first-class runs in 171 matches including 30 centuries during his 21-year impressive career. He also featured in over 100 List A games and 14 T20 matches.
Indian Women's Cricket Team has been without a head coach for long now after the exit of former coach Ramesh Power. Finally, BCCI appoints the next head coach of Women in Blue and it is none other then veteran domestic star and former commentator Amol Muzumdar who gets appointed for the task. The Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Ms. Sulakshana Naik, Mr. Ashok Malhotra, and Mr. Jatin Paranjape, interviewed the shortlisted applicants and the three-member committee unanimously recommended Amol Muzumdar to take over the role.
