June 23 will always be remembered as a glorious day in Afghanistan cricket as the Rashid Khan-led side beat Australia for the very first time in international cricket. Defending a target of 149 runs, Afghanistan bowlers did incredibly well to bowl out Australia for 127 runs in 19.2 overs. Gulbadin Naib was the best of all the bowlers, taking four wickets for 20 runs, while Naveen-ul-Haq scalped three. Rashid Khan, Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket each.
