Afghanistan continued from where they had left off as they beat South Africa by 177 runs in the second ODI of the series on September 20. With this, Hashmatullah Shahidi and his men have registered a historic 2-0 series win with one game left. Batting first, a sensational century from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and crucial knocks from Azmatullah Omarzai (86) and Rahmat Shah (50) helped the Afghanistan national cricket team score 311/4. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Burger, Nqabayomzi Peter and Aiden Markram took one wicket each. In response, South African batters failed to put up a fight as they lost wickets at regular intervals after a strong start. Rashid Khan took five wickets for just 19 runs in nine while Nangeyalia Kharote scalped four as Afghanistan bowled the South Africa national cricket team out for just 134 runs. This 177-run win was their biggest victory margin in terms of runs in ODIs.
