Charles Leclerc Wins United States GP 2024, Max Verstappen ‘Extends’ Lead in F1 Standing With Third Place Finish

It was a 1-2 finish for the Ferrari as Charles Leclerc won the US GP 2024 at Austin, while Carlos Sainz finished second. A five-second penalty to Lando Norris dropped him to the fourth place handing the podium finish to the F1 drivers’ standings leader Max Verstappen a podium finish.

With just six races remaining in the F1 2024 season, the races were expected to be intense and US GP 2024 delivered the same. Even though Lando Norris and Max Verstappen started from the top two positions in the US Grand Prix 2024, the Ferrari duo took the spotlight with their speed and precision. Norris, dropped to fourth place with just 10 laps remaining overtook Verstappen but was given a five-second penalty for going off track to make the overtake the positions were reversed.
